CUTTING EDGE
TECHNOLOGY

Getting metal export ready involves the use of cutting edge technology, such as a 1,000 tonne compression shear (the biggest of its kind in New Zealand) or a high-density baler. These machines enable a better quality of product to be loaded more efficiently into shipping containers and are looked after by our in-house team of engineering staff.

FERROUS METALS

Our most common recycled materials are various steel grades, also known as ferrous metals. Ferrous metals come from consumer products such as cars and household appliances, as well as industrial products including buildings, railroad tracks, ships, and farm equipment.

The recycled steel is then used in vehicles, bridges, buildings, public transportation, heavy equipment, and other materials.

Non-FERROUS METALS

Recycling non ferrous metal, including aluminum, copper, lead, zinc, nickel, and tin, as well as precious metals such as gold, silver, and platinum, saves natural resources, reduces energy costs, and strengthens the economy.

Aluminum is the most widely used nonferrous metal in New Zealand. Sources of recycled aluminum include used beverage containers, vehicles, cladding, and wires and cables.
