ON Site
pick ups
Relax and let us do all the heavy lifting. We have an extensive fleet of over 30 trucks and 15 trailers. Some of our trucks have cranes which can load your items directly on your site. For heavier items (generally above 3 tonnes) we can arrange a mobile crane.
Whether you have a large industrial demolition project, a regular scrap metal pickup or a one off clean up, our expert staff and array of bins can be tailored to suit your needs and requirements.

Brokering
YOUR SCRAP
If we can’t land your scrap into our yard, we’ll broker it directly from yours. Pack your scrap and we’ll broker a deal. Our traders have years of collective experience and knowledge to help guide their decisions and negotiations with each deal.

Prohibited and
restricted materials
COMMITTED TO HEALTH AND SAFETY
We are committed to protecting the health and safety of our employees, visitors and everyone else who could be impacted by our operations. It is imperative that any items or materials that arrive at our sites are free from materials that are dangerous to the health and safety of people or animals and also damaging to the environment.
While many items appear to be mostly metal some can contain materials that are prohibited or restricted. Older items are more likely to contain prohibited substances. 
If there are concerns that any items you have may contain prohibited or restricted materials then these should be checked and confirmed prior to the items being delivered to our sites.
We reserve the right to refuse acceptance of any materials suspected of containing prohibited or restricted materials.
Asbestos
  • Asbestos or asbestos contaminated material such as roofing tiles,
  • Insulation on industrial ovens
    and boilers.
Containers & Cylinders
  • Gas bottles include LPG,
    propane, oxygen and acetylene bottles/cylinders,
  • Pressure vessels and hydraulic accumulators,
  • Fire extinguishers.
Mercury
  • Thermometers and switches.
PCBs
  • (Polychlorinated biphenyl)
    Old electrical equipment such as switch gear and transformers.
Radioactive Materials
  • Industrial gauges, isotopes
    and old medical equipment / x-ray equipment.
Materials with Strong Odours
  • Materials with strong or objectionable odour, for example,
    a freezer containing old meat
    isn’t acceptable.
Rechargeable Batteries
  • Lithium-Ion, nickel cadmium, nickel-metal hydride. If any of these batteries are found in supplier loads they will be returned to the supplier at their cost.
CFCs / SGGs
  • Refrigeration compressors and air conditioning units. Any items that contain any of these gases must be degassed prior to being delivered to our sites.
Non-Metallic Refuse
  • Concrete, dirt, plastics, bricks,
    tiles, fabrics, glass and demolition waste.
Liquids of any Type
  • All tanks, drums and containers must be drained and rinsed prior to being delivered to our sites. Vehicles and machinery must also be drained of fuels, oils and other liquids prior to being delivered.
Polystyrene
  • We do not accept any items that contain polystyrene such as cold storage panels and doors.
Other Non-metallic Items
  • Biological hazards – medical waste, food and animal wastes,
  • Chemical and toxic waste, poisons and herbicides,
  • Corrosive materials – acid and alkaline materials. With the exception of used lead acid batteries,
  • Flammable liquids, gases and paints.
